Refunds, Makeup, and Reschedule Policy
CLASSROOM REFUND POLICY: No refunds will be given without 3 days notice before the start date of the class AND are subject to a 25% cancellation fee. This includes workshops! Any cancellations during a session are not eligible for a refund. Students may transfer the class/workshop to a different name but not a different workshop/class. MAKE UP POLICY FOR 6-Wk CLASSES: I cannot prorate the fee if you are going to miss a class however I will try my best to work you in. I will not extend past the 6 weeks given for the class.
SNOW DAY POLICY: You will be notified via email if classes or workshops are cancelled. There will also be a banner at the top of my website stating if I closed the studio. If you are in a 4, 6, or 8 week class you will be given options via email for the missed class when you are notified of closure. If you are in a 1-day workshop you will also receive an email with options. Please add jack_potpottery@yahoo.com to your address book so that you do not miss important updates. If you chose to not come to a class or a workshop based on the weather but the studio is still open you will not be refunded or pro-rated.
-Jack-Pot Pottery reserves the right to refuse services to any students for any reason without refund. (Sounds gnarly, but just be respectful and we won't have a problem.)
-Respect other students. Live, Laugh, Love. We are here to create. Every pot will be different and every creator is different.
-All studio tools stay in the classroom and are the property of Jack-Pot Pottery.
-Extra decorating/touch up/work days will be scheduled the first day of class.
-Every teacher is different. If you watch a youtube video on a technique or read an article that conflicts with what is being taught, please listen to the lesson first and incorporate the outside information later. There is a reason for the madness!
-Accidents happen. Work cracks. Glazes don’t turn out the way we expect all the time. We do our best to not let it happen but it does. This is the nature of clay. Breathe, and we will work on understanding why it happened and work towards something better. This does not warrant a refund. This warrants more practice/experience.
-Students are allotted 1-make up day. I get it. Life happens. If possible this should be scheduled with other students that may not make a day.
-Please don’t touch other students work. Each student will receive their own shelf. Please keep to your own shelf. Respect.
-Carlos Santana Pandora station will be played, probably a lot.
-The studio is insulated with multiple heat sources. If the cold weather gets to you I would suggest bringing a sweater but I do like it warm. Clay does wash out. We will find a happy medium… Probably on the last day of class.
-Remember, we are here to have fun! We are our own worst enemy/critic. Its best to keep an open mind in ceramics.
